Reading Rep Youth Theatre

RRYT aims to produce a high quality youth theatre provision which appeals to young people who are creative and want to hone their skills and work with like-minded people. By being attached to a regional producing theatre – our young people have the opportunity to work with award winning directors and playwrights, see our work at a discounted rate and be a part of a young and vibrant organisation. Reading Rep Youth Theatre is an inclusive company – we offer concession rates and bursaries; ensuring equality of access for all. Money will never be a barrier to participation. We run weekly sessions and holiday courses for young people aged 8-25 years old. We have a fully autonomous Young Company, LAMDA classes and also 20/20 which is our specialist group for young people who identify as having a learning disability or additional need. Reading Rep has been shortlisted and won awards for their work with children and young people, including being shortlisted for the 2017 Reading Place of Culture Award for Best Education Project and being a finalist for the Young Talent Award. Reading Rep won the Cultural Award – Support for Young People in the Arts at the Pride of Reading Awards in 2016.
