Hyde Little Theatre's Youth Theatre

Our professionally-run Youth Theatre has grown quickly since its inception. With over 100 children aged 4-18 attending our sessions, we’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of local performers and HLT members.

We currently offer four sessions a week:
- Juniors / Key stage 1: 4-7 years
- Inters A / Key stage 2: 8-11 years
- Inters B / Key stage 2: 8-11 years
- Seniors / Key stages 3-5: 12-18 years

Our growing Youth Theatre isn’t just about creating drama students of the future, or training those who aspire to a career in theatre or performing arts – although of course we encourage this. Our offer focuses on helping young people develop a range of personal skills, increasing their confidence and self-esteem, reading and literacy and social skills.

With support from grant funding, we are able to keep our term fees very low, which encourages children from a wide range of backgrounds to join, making it accessible to those who may not be able to access other extra-curricular activities. We are pleased to fully fund places for children under the care of local authority support services, and we also offer parents subsidised places on request if they need additional support.
