Job Description
Nonsuch Young Company is a Youth Theatre with a difference, where children have the power to create their own narratives, make their own characters and tell their own stories, channelling our central belief that Creativity is Power! Nonsuch Young Company will have 2 sharings a year, in the winter and summer term, which will be co-created with the young people, using creative, improvisation and devising techniques appropriate for this age group.
They are therefore looking for a confident youth facilitator with Saturday morning availability who can lead fun, creative theatre sessions, manage behaviour of the group, plan all sessions, nurture a culture of safety, set up the space, and report back to managers after every session.
Job Requirements
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
Up to 3 years in theatre or creative facilitating experience
Experience of working with children with a range of needs
Theatre or drama training to university level or equivalent.
Confident, friendly and inclusive attitude
Public liability Insurance
Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check before starting this role.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
First Aid Training
Safeguarding training
Additional training will be provided where appropriate.
