We are Fourth Monkey, a professional repertory touring theatre company and contemporary Drama School, established in 2010 to improve access to professional actor training. At the heart of our commitment to making professional training accessible are our no-fee auditions - we were the first, and remain the only, major UK Drama School not to charge for our auditions. We also offer anyone who wishes to apply the opportunity to be seen in one of our Covid-safe audition environments and not just submit a self-tape, as with most other schools.

"It exceeded my expectations! I didn't realise the incredible opportunities it could give you.” - Outreach participant, 2021

We believe that the power of theatre is rooted in the diversity of story, thought and creative process, and our National Audition Initiative is a key aspect of our strategy to engage with and celebrate young creatives who represent this diversity. We offer practical support, raise aspirations and present viable professional training routes for those wishing to explore the creative performance industry as a career choice.

We also offer free resources for teachers and have places available to join our upcoming teacher training days in Bristol or London – please do let me should these be of interest to you or your wider network.
