Creative Learning Manager - Maternity Cover

This role will report directly into the Theatre Director at Crewe. You will work closely with the Crewe Lyceum senior management team, including Venue Marketing Executive, Technical & Buildings Manager, Hospitality General Manager and Theatre Administrator. The posts you will line manage in this role include casual staff, sessional staff, practitioners, volunteers, artists, interns, work placements and young producers.

This post also liaises with the Cultural Economy Team at Cheshire East Council.

Note:

This role is matenity cover and will be offered on a fixed term contract.

Interviews for this role will be held early September. The closing date for this position is August 22nd 2025.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Develop, implement, coordinate and monitor the performance of an innovative creative learning and outreach strategy linked to the core programme, aims and objectives of Crewe Lyceum and in reference to the Cultural Strategy Framework of Cheshire East Council.

  • Prepare reports and evaluations of all community and creative learning activities, as required.

  • Participate in and contribute to the development of the Crewe Lyceum business plan.

  • Create and develop sustainable relationships, partnerships, and projects with groups of organisations across the range of communities in the region, in particular the education sector, thereby facilitating ways of making Crewe Lyceum economically, culturally and intellectually accessible whilst at the same time maximising the use of the venue.
